Welcome to GEO Upward ("Platform," "Service," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by La Crown Inc., a company registered in Indiana, United States, with a principal place of business in Fort Wayne, Indiana. By accessing or using GEO Upward at geoupward.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Description of Service
GEO Upward is a Founder Elevation Engine that creates AI-optimized identity pages ("Upward Pages") for founders, executives, and personal brands. The Platform provides:
- GEO Audit Tool: A free tool that scans public URLs to assess AI visibility across multiple factors.
- Upward Pages: Structured, AI-readable profile pages designed to improve how AI tools and search engines understand and recommend individuals.
- GEO Visibility Reports: Paid one-time reports providing detailed AI visibility analysis.
- Authority Leaderboard: A ranking system that measures real-world authority signals.
2. Managed Profiles — Publicly Available Information
2.1 What Are Managed Profiles?
GEO Upward may create profile pages ("Managed Profiles") for individuals using information that is publicly available on the internet, including but not limited to: publicly accessible social media profiles, public business registrations, public press articles and interviews, publicly listed professional bios, public podcast appearances and speaking engagements, and other information freely accessible without authentication on the open web.
2.2 Legal Basis for Managed Profiles
Managed Profiles are created using the same publicly available information that is already indexed and displayed by search engines (Google, Bing), professional data aggregators (LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Crunchbase, PitchBook), review platforms (Glassdoor), and AI systems (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity). GEO Upward organizes and structures this publicly available information to improve its accessibility to both humans and AI systems. We do not access private accounts, password-protected content, non-public databases, or any information that requires authentication to view.
2.3 What Managed Profiles Contain
Managed Profiles may include: the individual's name and professional title(s), publicly stated business affiliations and roles, publicly available professional biography information, links to the individual's own public social media profiles and websites, publicly available follower counts or audience metrics, structured data markup (schema.org) based on publicly available facts, and AI-optimized Q&A sections based on publicly available information.
2.4 What Managed Profiles Do NOT Contain
Managed Profiles will never contain: private contact information (personal email, phone number, home address), private financial information, medical or health information, information obtained from private or authenticated sources, content behind login walls or paywalls, defamatory, false, or misleading statements, or any information the individual has explicitly requested be removed.
2.5 Accuracy and Corrections
We make reasonable efforts to ensure information on Managed Profiles is accurate based on publicly available sources. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information. If any information on a Managed Profile is inaccurate, the individual may request a correction by contacting corrections@geoupward.com. We will review and update the information within 10 business days.
2.6 Profile Removal — Your Rights
Any individual may request the removal of their Managed Profile at any time, for any reason, without providing justification. To request removal, see our Profile Removal Policy. We honor all removal requests within 72 hours. Removal is permanent unless the individual later requests reinstatement.
3. Self-Service Accounts and Subscriptions
3.1 Subscription Tiers
GEO Upward offers subscription plans at various price points ("Tiers"). Your Tier is determined by the Platform based on your publicly available audience size at the time of signup. Tier assignment is at the sole discretion of GEO Upward.
3.2 Billing and Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions are billed monthly and automatically renew at the then-current rate unless cancelled. Payment is processed through Stripe, Inc. You authorize recurring charges to your payment method on file. You are responsible for keeping your payment information current.
3.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
- No refunds are issued for partial months.
- Your Upward Page will be set to "inactive" status and will no longer be publicly visible.
- Your authority points and leaderboard rank will be preserved for 90 days in case you resubscribe.
- After 90 days of inactivity, your authority points may be reset.
3.4 Refund Policy
One-time purchases (GEO Visibility Reports) are non-refundable once the report has been delivered. Subscription fees are non-refundable for the current billing period. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact billing@geoupward.com within 14 days.
3.5 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. If prices increase, existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days in advance and may cancel before the new rate takes effect.
4. Authority Points and Leaderboard
4.1 Nature of Authority Points
Authority points are a measurement system used within the Platform to rank founders based on real-world authority signals. Authority points:
- Have no monetary value. Points cannot be redeemed, exchanged, sold, or transferred for cash or any form of consideration.
- Are non-transferable. Points belong to the profile and cannot be transferred to another individual or account.
- Are earned, not purchased. No amount of subscription payment entitles a subscriber to a specific point total or leaderboard position.
- May be adjusted. GEO Upward reserves the right to adjust, recalculate, or reset authority points at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to: detection of fraudulent or manipulated signals, changes to the scoring algorithm, system errors, or violations of these Terms.
4.2 Featured Placements
Featured placements on the homepage, in articles, or in newsletters are determined by authority point levels and at the sole discretion of GEO Upward. No subscriber is guaranteed a featured placement regardless of point total, tier, or payment amount.
4.3 Prohibited Manipulation
You may not artificially inflate authority points through: fake or purchased backlinks, manufactured press mentions, fraudulent referral signups, automated systems designed to game the scoring algorithm, or any other deceptive means. Violation may result in point removal, profile suspension, or account termination without refund.
5. GEO Audit and Reports
5.1 Audit Results Are Informational Only
The GEO Audit tool provides an informational assessment of AI visibility factors. Results are generated using automated analysis and AI-powered suggestions. Audit results and reports:
- Are not guarantees of any specific outcome, ranking, or AI citation.
- May contain AI-generated content, including suggestions from Claude (Anthropic).
- Should not be relied upon as professional marketing, legal, or business advice.
- May vary over time as AI platforms and search algorithms change.
5.2 No Guarantee of AI Citation or Visibility
GEO Upward does not and cannot guarantee that any AI platform (including but not limited to ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, or any other system) will cite, recommend, or reference any individual or their Upward Page. AI systems are operated by independent third parties and their outputs are outside our control. Our services are designed to optimize the likelihood of AI recognition, not to guarantee it.
6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Portions of the Platform use artificial intelligence, including but not limited to Anthropic's Claude API, to generate content such as: GEO audit suggestions, visibility report analysis, authority bio drafts, and FAQ section content. AI-generated content is provided "as is" and may contain inaccuracies. GEO Upward makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content. Users are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated content before relying on it.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Platform Ownership
The GEO Upward platform, including its design, code, algorithms, scoring systems, branding, and all original content, is the intellectual property of La Crown Inc. All rights reserved.
7.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of any original content you provide to GEO Upward (photos, bios, descriptions). By submitting content, you grant La Crown Inc. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use that content in connection with operating and promoting the Platform.
7.3 Publicly Available Information
Information sourced from publicly available sources for Managed Profiles is not owned by GEO Upward or the profiled individual. We compile and organize this information under principles of fair use and public interest.
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
- Submit false or misleading information about yourself or others.
- Attempt to access accounts, systems, or data you are not authorized to access.
- Scrape, copy, or reproduce Platform content in bulk without written permission.
- Use the Platform to harass, defame, or harm any individual.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure.
- Resell or redistribute GEO Visibility Reports.
- Manipulate the authority scoring system by any fraudulent means.
9. Backlinks Sold Through the Platform
GEO Upward may offer backlink placements to third-party businesses on Upward Pages and related content. These backlinks are clearly identified as sponsored or partner content. GEO Upward selects backlink partners at its sole discretion and reserves the right to reject any backlink placement that does not align with the Platform's quality standards. Backlink placement does not constitute an endorsement of the linked business by GEO Upward, La Crown Inc., or any profiled individual.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- La Crown Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.
- La Crown Inc.'s total liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to GEO Upward in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- La Crown Inc. is not liable for any actions taken by AI platforms, search engines, or third-party services in response to information on the Platform.
- La Crown Inc. is not liable for any business decisions made based on GEO audit results, reports, or AI-generated suggestions.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless La Crown Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any rights of any third party, or any content you submit to the Platform.
12. Dispute Resolution
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12.2 Informal Resolution
Before filing any legal claim, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting legal@geoupward.com. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days.
12.3 Jurisdiction
If informal resolution fails, any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Allen County, Indiana. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts.
12.4 Class Action Waiver
You agree that any disputes will be resolved on an individual basis. You waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or any consolidated or representative proceeding.
13. Termination
GEO Upward reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account or Managed Profile at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to: violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, non-payment, or at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Dispute Resolution) will survive.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers or by posting a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
